Nargis Back Ground

The real name of Nargis was Fatima Rashid and she born in Calcutta in 1929. The mother name of Nargis was Jaddanbai (a Muslim Lady) and father name was Uttamchan Mohan Babu. (Hindu).

Nargis Career

Nargis started her career as child star in movie of Talashe e Haq when she was only six years old. The Nargis acted in many super hit movies in 40s and early 50s. These movies include Awara, Mother India, Shere 420, and Barsat. Nargis most hit came with Daleep Kumar and Raj kapoor, however, the most hit movies of Nargis was with Sunil Dut i.e. Mother India

Nargis affair with Raj Kapoor

Nargis had a fair with Raj Kapoor for almost ten year but Raj Kapoor was already married and refused to divorce his wife for Nargis and this was the main reason for their break up.

Nargis Family

Nargis married with Sunil Dut in 1958 after the mother India. Nargis had one son and two daughter naming Sanjay, Priya and Namarta.

Nargis Death

Nargis died from the cancer in 1982 when she was only 51 year old and just before the launch of Rocky the debut movie of his son (Sanjay Dut).

Nargis Recognition

Nargis got the film fare award for her performance in mother India. A road in Mumbai Bandara is also named Nargis Dut road.
